"I thought you might like to hear an interesting experience we had at the office this morning after having BLS last night. A dental assistant from the office next door came over to ask us to take her blood pressure. She wasn't feeling well...we while we were checking...her condition began to worsen. She lost all color, became extremely dizzy/light-headed and nauseated. We decided that she needed to go to the ER immediately ...called ahead to the ER to report (her) symptoms...and they were waiting for her arrival. That all occurred between 9 and 9:30 this morning ...during that time she went from fully responsive and alert to a semi-alert/responsive state. I thought that you would like to know that everyone was ready to put some of the emergency training to use this morning! (Dr Molloy has often said that we are most likely to use our first aid/emergency training with a parent or grandparent that is accompanying their child to an appointment and wants to make sure that we are prepared for child an adult emergencies.) We were prepared and were able to help give quick help to her this morning!"
